Meet Heather

Speech Pathologist

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology, University of Newcastle

  • Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) – Speech Pathology Australia

Heather is a dedicated and compassionate speech pathologist who joined Echo Speech in 2021. As a mother of three and a long-time Port Stephens local, she brings a warm, family-centred approach to her work and is deeply connected to the community she serves. Heather has a natural gift for motivating children — her sessions are playful, engaging, and thoughtfully designed to help each child feel confident and capable.

With specialised training in DIR Floortime, Hanen, and school readiness, Heather supports children by strengthening the foundational skills that truly matter: connection, communication, and independence. She draws on her strong knowledge of early language and literacy development to guide parents, educators, and therapy teams, helping them understand how to nurture communication in everyday routines.

Families appreciate Heather’s calm, encouraging presence and her ability to make therapy both meaningful and fun. Outside the clinic, you’ll often find her enjoying a great coffee, camping with her family, or exploring the stunning beaches of Port Stephens.

Heather is a valued member of the Echo Speech team — a skilled clinician, a thoughtful collaborator, and someone who brings heart and energy to everything she does.
